HVAC Upgrade
*The North Chicago Public Library is doing an HVAC upgrade and is looking for quotes. Desired work or
equivalent is: Dry hydrogen peroxide; UV-A air sanitation system (4), 3-ton high wall ductless split
system (1), 1-ton ceiling cassette ductless split system, Force-Flo recessed wall cabinet unit heater,
Electromagnetic Active Protection Air Filters (17), Ductwork and cabling as needed. Equipment and specs are from an analysis of what would be required based on our needs and wants. Equivalent proposal will be considered.

Approximate General Scope of Service:
- Check in with on-site representation when arriving on-site
- Mobilize and set up for project
- New Installation of 3-ton ductless split system in meeting area (high wall style)
- New Installation of 1-ton ductless split system in IT Room (celling cassette style)
- Mount and hardwire (4) Dry H202 IAQ units
- Replace standard air filters and install new electro-magnetic air filters (will require run of new wire
to the filter bank)
- Replace hydronic cabinet unit heater in the front vestibule of the library with a new recessed CUH
- Run new cables and integrate new ductless split systems
- Perform factory startup on all equipment
- Provide owner training to the site on all new equipment
- Clean all work area/s of tools and debris
- Check out with on-site representation once all work has been completed
Ductless Mini Split Systems Scope:
- Once checked in with Library, mobilize to begin work
- licensed electrician to run new power from each respective breaker panel to provide all
power for the 3-ton system in the meeting room and the 1-ton system in the IT Room.
- run power to each of the evaporator heads to control the indoor unit
- Install condensate pump for 1-ton system to remove condensation from the IT Room and direct it outside
- Designate and install wall sensors in each respective space
- Mount outdoor condensing unit s outdoors in the specified areas
- Run copper refrigerant lines from OD unit to ID unit and connect as necessary
- Provide pressure leak check thereafter
- Open systems refrigerant service valves and prepare to start each unit
- perform full factory startup and owner training on both the 3-ton and 1-ton new
Mitsubishi ductless mini splits
- Log equipment as necessary for service paperwork
Force-Flo Cabinet Unit Heater Scope:
- Lockout/tag out unit in service making sure all power is disconnected from unit
- Shut valves to the unit to cut out and demo old unit
- Remove old unit and discard/haul away for scrap
- Mount in new recessed hydronic cabinet unit heater
- Configure piping connections and make all necessary solder connections
- Configure new electrical and connection power to the new unit
- Install new two-way valve
- Install new wall sensor to control heating temps in the space
- Stapostrt up and test unit operation
