The purpose of the Friends of the North Chicago Public Library shall be to maintain a permanent organization of the individuals interested in promoting an active community interest in and knowledge of the present and future resources, services, and needs of the North Chicago Public Library; to initiate and sustain book and library-related programs for the community at large; and to provide such gifts as would be of value and benefit to the North Chicago Public Library.
